A Splendid Spot in Bombay

After a day's long work in Bombay, when sun prepares to dip, head out to Apollo Bunder. But don't go to any of the lounges in the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel — they are too expensive; and don't settle for other fine restaurants and cafes around the Gateway of India — they are too popular. Instead, walk into the Harbour View Hotel, take an elevator to the topmost floor, and find yourself a seat in the Bayview Bar.

As the name suggests, the open-air restaurant opens to an expansive view of the Arabian Sea.

On days when dark clouds loom, you will not be able to tell sky from the sea: both their colours blend, providing your thoughts a vast playground to run about. On a normal day, the sea sparkles in the late afternoon sun.

Order your favourite food and drinks, indulge in favourite conversations, soak yourself in the breezy atmosphere, and by the time you are about to leave, you would have seen the sky and the sea change their colours dramatically.
